"Portrait of Radamés" is dedicated to the prolific and versatile composer Radamés Gnattali. This slow choro combines florid bass clarinet melody with an animated guitar accompaniment and follows traditional choro form AABBACCA. Its opening phrase is harmonically modeled after Gnattali's famous work "Retratos".
