Duo Brasileiro: Richard Boukas and Gustavo Amarante.

Richard Boukas and itinerant bassist Gustavo Amarante have been bandmates for several years in three different ensembles: QUARTETO MODERNO, TRIO BRASILEIRO and DUO BRASILEIRO.

DUO BRASILEIRO was formed to present performances of popular Brazilian music at more intimate venues. The programs offered by the duo are as follows, and can be hybridized:

"Our capacity audience was captivated by Duo Brasileiro's performance, remaining for all three of their sets. It was also interactive, with Richard explaining various aspects of Brazilian music and answering audience questions. We will certainly invite Duo Brasileiro to return to Onderdonk House for another Candlelight Series concert and other larger events."
